You are not very happy with the situation of your neighborhood because it's very dirty. Write an article to your local newspaper suggesting ways to keep your neighborhood clean.

Last weekend, I decided to go for a walk with my American friends in my neighborhood. They wanted to know more about where I live. However, I felt ashamed walking around the neighborhood. The streets are very dirty, and trash is scattered everywhere. It’s crystal clear that pollution is a stain on the image of my area. For this reason, I would like to suggest some ways to keep our neighborhood clean. In this way, both residents as well as visitors will enjoy the place.

To keep our neighborhood clean, there are several things that we should do. First, we should be responsible citizens because responsivity is the starting point towards our objective. Besides, people should not throw waste in street corners. They have to put it in plastic bags and throw it in trash bins. In addition, local municipality officials should provide trash bins in every street corner. Furthermore, they ought to create more green areas around the neighborhood. Moreover, local associations should take the issue of pollution seriously. They should organize campaigns to sensitize people to the risks of pollution not only on the neighborhood, but also on the health of residents.

I hope that residents, officials and associations will consider these recommendations. Our neighborhood is the place where we grew up and brought up. Hence, we should take good care of it for the coming generations.
